Pia holds a PhD in Japanology from the University of Gothenburg and is a trained business and leadership coach. Pia is the founder of 5S of Meetings®, a model that combines 5S (the foundation of Lean and TPS) with meetings.

Focusing on cultural awareness and meeting management, Pia provides hands-on tools to improve and maintain a good working culture and meeting structure using the 5S of Meetings®. You will increase your productivity and save resources in an area that has been overlooked: our daily meetings.

Pia loves to see people on her courses cracking the code to greater cultural understanding and reducing the waste in terms of time and resources in their meetings.

Clients such as Volvo Group, IKEA, ABB Hitachi and Isuzu have hired Pia to train expats in business culture, advise on intercultural issues and to run development days for multicultural teams.

Pia is also the founder of the company Japco and has written several books on intercultural competence (CQ), Japan and meeting management. Her latest book Meeting Cookbook – Leading Meetings in a Global and Online World is used with the model 5S of Meetings®.
