What gives you energy?
I get energy from seeing different industries and businesses. It’s hard to say no when there’s a new challenge. When everyone is allowed to come into their own and when different perspectives are highlighted. When one plus one equals three. When people come together and create results.
You have worked in various industries, both in business and in the public sector. Do you see any similarities and differences?
There are very big similarities. It’s about people, the leadership is the same. People have the same needs. In the public sector, the connection to politics is a difference that slows down some things.
What advice do you have for organizations that want to create a stronger culture of improvement?
To be inspired by others and not copy. To take small steps and be prepared for it to take time. It’s also important to understand that frustration is the step before understanding.
